The afferent pathway is via the cutaneous femoral nerve and the efferent pathway is the genitofemoral nerve. The spinal root is L1-L2.
- The patient should lie on the examination table.
- Stroke the medial thigh in a distal to proximal direction using the end of a cotton swab [Figure 87].
- Note whether the testicle is drawn upwards.
