Should the patient complain of loss of strength, tingling or radiating pain, an examination of the (muscle) strength, sensitivity and reflexes of the lower extremities.
Carry out root sensation tests, if necessary (refer to The Neurological Examination).
Undertake, if needed, an examination of the peripheral circulation in relation to the lower extremities.
