Introduction
Basic principles for hand-tied knots:
- The thread should be 30-40 cm in length and have two equally sized ends.
- Some knots are tied with one hand and one suture end while the other hand keeps the other suture end taut.
- A suture knot consists of a surgical knot (double knot), which is made by tying two single knots (flat knot).
