Procedure
- Tap out any adhesive that remains in the spout.
- Cut the end of the tube with a pair of sterile scissors, or a no. 15 blade.
- Bring the edges of the wound together with your fingers, keeping your fingers away from the wound itself.
- Apply the tissue adhesive to the skin in the thinnest layer possible.
- Maintain pressure on the edges of the wound for approximately 10 seconds; avoid contact between the adhesive and gauze or tweezers.
- When the adhesive has dried sufficiently, release the wound margins.
- Seal the top of the tube with a match flame.
