If the tissue pressure is equal to or higher than the pressure in the blood vessels, blood will not flow from the blood vessels. If the swelling has already formed, the therapeutic value of a compression bandage is limited. The pressure exerted on the tissue causes any fluid that has leaked out to be reabsorbed into the blood and lymph vessels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">A compression bandage exerts <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>circular<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>evenly-distributed pressure<\/strong><\/span> on the affected body part.
