On which side? How did it feel? How long did it last? Was it accompanied by other symptoms (e.g. pain, fever, skin disorders, radiating pain)?<br \/>\n<em>Inguinal hernias variably cause swelling. Pain suggests entrapment, ischaemia, or necrosis.
