Because psychopathological phenomena are addressed or expressed differently by each patient, we show multiple cases. By emphasizing specific phenomena exemplified in a particular case, we focus and further elaborate on the systematic structure of the mental status examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mock-osce.mediviewprojects.org\/psychiatric-assessment-mse\/start.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"347\" src=\"https:\/\/cloverock.info\/mockosce23\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/PsychExam_the-mental-status-examination.jpg\" alt=\"the-mental-status-examination\" class=\"wp-image-1787\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qpercom.com\/sim\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/PsychExam_the-mental-status-examination.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.qpercom.com\/sim\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/PsychExam_the-mental-status-examination-300x260.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The videos include 4 interviews with patients who suffer from different psychiatric disorders, including a <strong>pain disorder<\/strong>, <strong>dyspareunia<\/strong>, <strong>obsessive-compulsive disorder<\/strong>, and <strong>schizophrenia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The four interviews show unique and specific aspects of the pathology under consideration. First, the interview is shown in its entirety, allowing the student to observe the structure of the mental status examination, and concentrate on each key domain of the mental status examination. For each interview, each domain is discussed separately and explained in more detail with the use of film fragments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This program is not about general physician-patient interviewing techniques, but on how the mental status is observed and explored, and how information resulting from this examination is interpreted and recorded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This interactive program includes the videos that demonstrate the mental status examination as a medical skill.
