{"id":1723,"date":"2010-12-13T09:45:45","date_gmt":"2010-12-13T09:45:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cloverock.info\/mockosce23\/new\/when-to-consult-an-ob-care-provider\/"},"modified":"2023-08-18T11:14:39","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T10:14:39","slug":"when-to-consult-an-ob-care-provider","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.qpercom.com\/sim\/index.php\/obstetrics\/subsequent-check-ups\/when-to-consult-an-ob-care-provider\/","title":{"rendered":"When To Consult An OB Care Provider"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reasons for the woman to contact her obstetric care provider during the pregnancy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vaginal blood loss.<\/li>\n<li>Vaginal fluid loss.<\/li>\n<li>Abdominal pain.<\/li>\n<li>Fever higher than <strong>38.5\u02daC<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Abdominal trauma.<\/li>\n<li>Feeling clearly reduced foetal movements.<\/li>\n<li>Symptoms or complaints about which the pregnant woman is anxious or has questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The information provided to the pregnant woman includes the symptoms by which the start of labour can be recognised.<\/p>\n<p>Reasons for warning the care provider during the dilation phase are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular contractions every <strong>5 minutes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Amniotic fluid loss.<\/li>\n<li>Vaginal blood loss, if more than a little bloody mucous.<\/li>\n<li>Urge to push.<\/li>\n<li>Any other complaints about which the pregnant woman is anxious or has questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Every pregnant woman should be informed about how she can reach the midwife or doctor and locum(s), if necessary, outside of office hours.
