The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">damaged artery<\/span> will only be fed blood via <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>collateral arteries<\/strong><\/span>. This generally results in only <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">slight bleeding<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">There are only a limited number of points on the body where an artery can be compressed. A suitable pressure point is a site, located between the heart and the wound, where the artery lies close to the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">surface<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">supplies blood<\/span> to the damaged blood vessel.
