The tails each form a <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>45\u00b0 angle<\/strong><\/span>, and the tip forms a <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>90\u00b0 angle<\/strong><\/span>. The cloth is made of cotton; triangular cloths made of cellulose are also available for single use. The triangular cloth is used as a <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>sling<\/strong><\/span> or a <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>cravat<\/strong><\/span> to support and rest the upper extremities.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>Collar\u2019n\u2018Cuff.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">This a sling made of <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>foam<\/strong><\/span>, covered by a sleeve of <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>stockinette<\/strong><\/span>. It has the same function as a cloth sling.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>Tape.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">This is a non-elastic plaster used to support movements and to <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>limit extreme movements<\/strong><\/span>. The strips of tape form the \u2018<em>heart<\/em>\u2019 of the bandage. The tape can be torn both lengthwise and crosswise, has long-lasting adhesiveness and is available in the following widths: 2.5 cm and 4 cm.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>Adhesive Roller Bandages.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">These bandages made of cotton or synthetic threads are coated on one side with an adhesive material made of <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>polyacrylate<\/strong><\/span> or <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>zinc oxide-rubber resin<\/strong><\/span>. Acrylate is only moderately adhesive and bandages made with this material are suitable for skin contact bandaging in people with <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>sensitive skin<\/strong><\/span>. Zinc oxide\/rubber resin is a stronger adhesive and consequently less skin-friendly. The adhesive bandages are available in the following widths: 6, 8 and 10 cm. These bandages are used mainly for <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>taping<\/strong><\/span> or <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>strapping<\/strong><\/span>. Besides protecting the skin, these bandages act as an anchor point for tape and, at the end, as a top layer to fix the applied tape.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>Plaster Of Paris Products<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">These are <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>absorbent<\/strong><\/span> cotton roller bandages made of 17-thread gauze which have been impregnated with high-quality Plaster Of Paris. The Plaster Of Paris bandages are made wet and then placed on the body part involved. Hardened plaster bandages are fully load-bearing, partially x-ray permeable and have a smooth surface. Plaster Of Paris bandages <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>fully immobilise<\/strong> <\/span>the involved body part. The width of the bandages is between 6 and 20 cm. As well as bandages, semi-moulded Plaster Of Paris splints are available. These vary in width from 10 to 20 cm. As well as the classic products, there are also synthetic resin-plaster products and synthetic materials.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em><strong>Synthetic Resin-Plaster Products.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Are made up of 17-thread gauze which has been impregnated with synthetic resin and Plaster Of Paris. This material has the same qualities as pure Plaster Of Paris, but can be applied in a thinner layer and weighs less. Unlike Plaster Of Paris, this product is <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>water-resistant<\/strong><\/span>. The cost is slightly higher than that of real Plaster Of Paris.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>Synthetic Materials<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Are made of fibreglass or polyurethane resin. The material is very light, water resistant, strong and partially x-ray permeable. The shelf-life is, however, limited. Synthetic materials are less easy to handle than the two above-mentioned products, the skin tends to chafe easily under the bandage and the price is considerably higher.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Triangular Cloth.
