{"id":1346,"date":"2010-12-05T10:39:35","date_gmt":"2010-12-05T10:39:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cloverock.info\/mockosce23\/new\/with-tissue-adhesive\/"},"modified":"2023-11-14T12:12:12","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T12:12:12","slug":"with-tissue-adhesive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.qpercom.com\/sim\/index.php\/minor-surgery\/skills\/with-tissue-adhesive\/","title":{"rendered":"With Tissue Adhesive"},"content":{"rendered":"<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Procedure<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Tap out any adhesive that remains in the spout.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Cut the end of the tube with a pair of <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>sterile scissors<\/strong><\/span>, or a <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>no. 15 blade<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Bring the edges of the wound together with your fingers, keeping your fingers away from the wound itself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Apply the tissue adhesive to the skin in the thinnest layer possible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Maintain pressure on the edges of the wound for approximately 10 seconds; avoid contact between the adhesive and gauze or tweezers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">When the adhesive has dried sufficiently, release the wound margins.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Seal the top of the tube with a <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>match flame<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Procedure Tap out any adhesive that remains in the spout.
