The third<\/strong><\/span>, fourth<\/strong><\/span> or fifth<\/strong> toe<\/strong><\/span> crosses under the medially adjacent toe<\/strong><\/span>. Passive correction of the toe concerned is possible. In the case of complaints (painful callus formation<\/em>), release the flexor tendon<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Digitus Superductus V\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The fifth toe<\/strong><\/span> crosses over the fourth toe<\/strong><\/span>. This is usually a hereditary<\/strong><\/span> deformity. Surgical correction<\/strong><\/span> can be carried out in which both the bony and soft-tissue parts are released.<\/span><\/p>\n

Syndactyly And Polydactyly<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Syndactyly<\/strong><\/span> – Toes are fused together<\/strong><\/span>. Only requires surgical correction for cosmetic purposes<\/strong><\/span>, as it does not cause any functional problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Polydactyly<\/strong><\/span> – Presence of extra toes<\/strong><\/span>. Makes it impossible<\/span> to wear normal shoes. Therefore, surgical removal<\/strong><\/span> of the extra toes is advised.<\/span><\/p>\n
